Implementing the “Introduction to New Student Campus Life” (PKKMB) Program

UPN "Veteran" Jakarta as the State Defense Campus routinely holds an Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) activities every year, this year approximately 2600 new students participated, this PKKMB activity is mandatory for all New Students class of 2017 which takes place from the 14th until 17 August 2017.
UPN "Veteran" Jakarta has implemented PKKMB when it became a state in 2015, where previously UPNVJ was still carrying out outbound outside the campus and inbound on campus for new students, and now switched to PKKMB which is based on the Circular Letter of the Director General Belmawa, concerning Introduction to Campus Life for New Students.
PKKMB activities on the first day of August 14 2017, all new student participants were divided into eight groups to receive lecture material from resource persons that had been prepared by the committee, the material obtained included; State Defense material delivered by the Director General of Pothan's team and Narcotics Danger material delivered by a team from BNN as well as Student Creativity Program (PKM) material delivered by the Ristekdikti Team, as well as teams of experts from government and private agencies participating in filling in material on Anti-Corruption and Social Media Literacy .
UPNVJ Chancellor Prof.Dr.Ir. Eddy S Siradj, M.Sc.Eng took part in giving lectures on the Higher Education System and continued with Vice Chancellors I giving material on Learning and Deputy Chancellors II for General Affairs and Finance, followed by Deputy Chancellors III filling in on Student Affairs and Cooperation .
Continued on the second day of August 15 2017 PKKMB activities were focused on each Faculty, by explaining the Vision and Mission of the Faculty, Academic Calendar, Functions of Academic Supervisors, Faculty organizational structure, Faculty Ormawa activities, Study Plan Cards, Study Period, introduction practicum infrastructure and facilities, studios and also invited Practitioners from outside UPN regarding Professional Prospects and Challenges.
On the third day, August 16 2017, the PKKMB activities will be continued with the UKM Parade, which will showcase the attractions of UKM at UPNVJ and will be followed by a closing which will be closed by the Chancellor. Prior to closing, the procession of handing over new students from the University Senate to the Rector, then the Chancellor symbolically handed over new students per Faculty to the Deans. xxxx
