Providing Creative Students for Superior HR, UPNVJ Holds a National Seminar

HumasUPNVJ - UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) through the Faculty of Computer Science held a National Seminar on Computer Science and Its Applications (SENAMIKA) entitled "Utilization of data in the cultural transformation of millennial generation development", on Tuesday (28/01/20), at the Bhinneka Tunggal Auditorium Ika UPNVJ.

At this seminar attended Prof. Dr. Ir. Agus Buono, M.Sc., M.Kom from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Department of Computer Science, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) as the main informant and internal speaker. Ermatita, M.Kom Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Dr. Titin Pramiyati Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs at the UPNVJ Faculty of Computer Science.

In her remarks, UPNVJ Chancellor Erna Hernawati expressed her pride for FIK UPNVJ students to be able to hold a national seminar which was the first time that FIK UPNVJ could take place. He also expressed his happiness because it was not only the seminar that was held but the announcement of the results of the FIK student paper selection.

"This makes me proud because I was able to attend the national seminar which was the first time held by FIK students and this activity was not only a seminar but there was a collection of papers and announcements of the best papers from FIK students," said the chancellor.

Apart from UPNVJ students, this seminar was also attended by 250 participants representing 5 universities, which included Bina Darma Palembang University, Jakarta State University, Jakarta Asian Institute of Banking and Informatics Finance, Nusa Putra University Sukabumi and Trilogy University.

In front of the participants, the Chancellor revealed that innovation is currently continuing to develop, especially in the development of applications that make it easier for us humans to get what we want. Human resource needs also change to adapt more to developments and competition in the current era, therefore the industry requires creative and innovative human resources.

"We do focus on students to always be active because students will later struggle in the industrial world and currently there are many higher education programs where students are obliged to make student creativity proposals with that students can measure their abilities in the field of creativity," said the chancellor.

Muhammad Aldena Herdiputra as chairman of the SENAMIKA committee hopes that the implementation of this activity will equip all students who attend and graduate to be able to compete in the industrial world.
