64th Graduation Dress Rehearsal, Inform Change of Handshake in Other Ways

HumasUPNVJ - In order for the 64th Graduation procession to run smoothly, today Thursday, (5/03/20) UPN Veteran Jakarta is holding a dress rehearsal. No different from the previous year, the 64th graduation will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center on Sunday, March 8 2020.

The 794 prospective graduates and graduates solemnly took part in the dress rehearsal with the aim of avoiding mistakes during the inauguration process. During the dress rehearsal, briefings and graduation simulations were carried out, including how to wear the toga correctly, how to take maps and technical issues regarding graduation which were delivered directly by Catur Nugrahaeni, Head of UPT Career Development and Entrepreneurship as well as the committee for the 64th graduation ceremony.

There is something different from the previous year, according to the direction of the UPNVJ Chancellor at the 64th graduation the university will abolish handshakes in other ways for students who are graduating. This was done due to the development of the Corona Covid-19 virus case in Indonesia, so there is nothing wrong with changing the handshake in another way.

The form of a replacement for the handshake at the 64th graduation will include Namaste (joining the palms together in front of the chest, similar to a prayer gesture) in front of the dean and greeting by placing the right hand to the chest in front of the rector. Both forms of greeting are a substitute for a handshake in the usual graduation process.

With this dress rehearsal, it is hoped that the graduates will be able to understand and understand the inauguration process so that they avoid mistakes in the inauguration process later.
