HumasUPNVJ - In the framework of admitting new students in 2021, UPN Veteran Jakarta is holding a Webinar for Admission of New Students which will be held online, on Wednesday 16 February 2021.

Together with the guest speaker, Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm, vice chancellor for academics, a total of approximately 200 participants from high school students and the equivalent attended the webinar which discussed more clearly the entry pathways provided by UPN Veteran Jakarta this year.

In his main discussion, Dr. Anter Venus, explained about the faculties, study programs and facilities available at UPN Veteran Jakarta.

The source explained clearly that UPNVJ had opened 3 (three) entry routes, namely the SNMPTN, SBMPTN and UPNVJ Independent Selection Pathways (SEMA).

With a capacity allocation of 20% for SNMPTN, 40% for SBMPTN and 30% for the UPNVJ SEMA route.

Emphasizing in detail the independent path (SEMA UPNVJ) is divided again into two paths, namely the academic path using only UTBK scores and there is an achievement path where the combination of UTBK scores and achievements is an added point.

There are 4 (four) achievements that can be used as assessments for UPNVJ SEMA entry, which include:

1. achievements in science, sports and arts Olympiads with rankings 1-3 at district/city, provincial, national and international levels in the last 3 years.

2. Hafiz Al-Quran at least 10 juz

3. Osis chairman for at least one term

4. Youtube Content Creator at least 10,000 subscribers

Regarding the funding, Dr. Anter Venus also explained that for prospective new students who were accepted on the SNMPTN and SBMPTN routes, they were only subject to the UKT fee, which adjusted for the calculation of their parents' employment income. Unlike the case with prospective new students who are accepted on the UPNVJ SEMA route, on this route new student candidates will be charged an Institutional Development Contribution (SPI) development fee based on the ability of parents in the non-medical category, a minimum fee of IDR 10,000,000 and a maximum of IDR 40,000,000 and the medical category costs a minimum of IDR 50,000,000 and a maximum of around IDR 200,000,000.

UPNVJ also provides scholarships that new students can use from the three available entry pathways, including the KIPK scholarship, the Jakarta Scholarship Foundation, Bank Indonesia, and the Achievement Athlete Scholarship.

Not only that, Dr. Anter Venus also provides a brief description of the learning transformation that has been carried out by UPNVJ which includes the Independent Campus Curriculum, facility development, recruitment of 170 Doctors, case study/project based lectures, and learning resource sharing with domestic and foreign universities.

In this two-way webinar, participants can directly conduct questions and answers with speakers with the aim of unifying perceptions so that prospective new students get clear information about the entry routes available at UPNVJ.

At the end of the event Dr. Anter Venus reiterates for prospective new students to choose a college that really suits their interests and abilities so far.

"This is a competition, my advice is to choose a college smartly, choose a field that you like, because if you reject what you have chosen, it will harm many parties, choose and adjust it according to your interests, lots of opportunities and don't need to hesitate" he said .
