UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine Students Win 3rd Place in the 2021 9th Indonesian Medical Student Summit (IMSS)

HumasUPNVJ - Proud news has returned from UPN Veterans Jakarta Faculty of Medicine (FK UPNVJ) students who won 2nd place in the Public Poster competition at the " 9th Indonesian Medical Student Summit (IMSS) 2021" which was announced on Sunday, 28 February 2021 .

UPN Veteran Jakarta Faculty of Medicine students again participated in the " 9th Indonesian Medical Student Summit (IMSS) 2021" which is a scientific meeting and competition event held by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Riau for the 2021 period in collaboration with the Indonesian Medical Student Senate Association (ISMKI) which was attended by all students of medical faculties throughout Indonesia.

This activity aims to increase knowledge and skills in preparing to become a competent doctor. This year, the event has the theme "COVID-19 Vaccine Updates " with the hope that it will illustrate the strategy for eradicating the stigma of the COVID-19 vaccine and the mechanism for administering vaccines in Indonesia today.

This year the UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine delegated 3 of its students to take part in this event, which included Bayu Prasetyo, Gefbar Faikar Aqbil, and Romadhonal Qodarul Akbar. The three of them competed closely with other medical students from all over Indonesia in this event.

In the report submitted by Bayu and his team, they argued that there were many goals they could take in participating in the event. According to them, this event aims to increase the humanity and compassion of the participants , increase the role of students in student affairs and community service programs, provide knowledge about various problems in the health sector that are being faced in the current era, synergize the movement of Indonesian medical students through strategic issues, provide special training to delegates related to organizational professionalism and evaluating the performance of the ISMKI and BAPIN management for the 2020-2021 period.

According to Bayu and his team there were no obstacles that hindered the process of participating in the activity.

"Everything was in accordance with what we targeted, for some shortcomings it was used as a lesson to be better in the future. The message is that the main capital that must be considered is careful preparation and training regarding designs and presentations that need to be improved, "said Bayu and the team in their report.
