HumasUPNVJ – Muhammad Aldianto, a graduate of the Communication Studies Program Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the "Veteran" National Development University Jakarta who died due to illness was still inaugurated at the 69th Graduation of the Diploma, Bachelor, Professional and Masters Programs represented by his older brother.
The inauguration procession was carried out by the Chancellor Prof. Dr. Erna Hernawati Ak, CPMA, CA With the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Dr. Dudy Heryadi at the graduation held at the Jakarta Convention Center Convention Center, Jakarta, Sunday (25/9/2022).
In his remarks, the Chancellor expressed his condolences to Muhammad Aldianto's family and offered a prayer for the deceased. A joint prayer for the deceased was led by the Dean of FISIP.
"Hopefully the deeds of worship of the deceased will be accepted by Allah SWT and all the mistakes of the deceased will be forgiven," prayed the Dean of FISIP.
UPNVJ inaugurated 1,840 graduates consisting of 287 Diploma 3 (D-3) Program graduates, 1,261 Undergraduate (S-1) Program graduates, 228 Professional Program graduates, and 64 Masters Program graduates.
Graduation is divided into two sessions. At the first graduation session, the Acting Director of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Dr. Ir. Sri Gunani Partiwi, MT to give a speech on behalf of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim. Apart from that, there was also the provision of material from the Institutional Director of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology Dr. Lukman, ST, M. Hum. In the second session, the Acting Director General of Higher Education, Prof. Ir. Nizam M.Sc., DIC.,PhD.
The Chancellor said that UPNVJ always tries its best to prepare graduates so they can survive and be successful. This is because the very high level of public trust in UPNVJ is shown by the increasing interest of prospective students registering.
"In 2022 interest will reach 76,941 people and only 4,124 new students will be accepted. UPNVJ is also included in the top 10 state universities with the highest ranking of Computer-Based Writing Examination scores for both science and social sciences," said the Chancellor.
Because of this, UPNVJ is committed to continuing to oversee the improvement of the quality of Tridharma through the transition of status from a Work Unit to a Public Service Agency (BLU), increasing the quality and quantity of lecturers, international accreditation programs, the Independent Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program, student achievement programs, and improvement of facilities and infrastructure.
Currently there are 125 lecturers with doctoral degrees and 66 people currently pursuing doctoral degrees, so that 33.5 percent will be achieved. UPNVJ is consistent in increasing the number of doctorates to reach more than 50 percent of all permanent lecturers. An international vision is also realized by encouraging lecturers to take doctoral degrees at reputable foreign universities.
"UPNVJ is also preparing 10 study programs to get FIBAA version of international accreditation, four study programs ASIIN version. In total there are 14 study programs that will have international accreditation from the 28 study programs they have," he said.
UPNVJ already has five study programs with A accreditation, and specifically for the Faculty of Medicine, namely the Medical and Professional Undergraduate Study Program, has received accreditation with the title of Excellent, so it is open to opening specialist programs. The specialist program being prepared is a radiologist.
Through the MBKM program, UPNVJ seeks to improve the quality of graduates so that the link and match gap between graduates with industrial and community qualifications can be minimized. Serious efforts for the MBKM program are shown by making changes to the curriculum so that it is effective in the 2022/2023 Academic Year that it has fully implemented MBKM.
