HumasUPNVJ - Through the Tridharma of Higher Education UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) performs community service (Abdimas) by providing counseling, education Strengthening Consumer Rights in Credit Agreements Facing Withdrawal of Vehicles by Financing Companies After the Constitutional Court's Decision

Community Service conducted for residents of the TNI-AL Complex RT 008/006, Pondok Labu, Cilandak, South Jakarta.

The abdimas team which includes Prof. Dr. Bambang Waluyo, SH., MH. UPNVJ Law Faculty Professor who is also assisted by two other lecturers namely Dr. Handoyo Prasetyo, SH., MH., and Drs. Subakdi, MM.

based on the report submitted by Drs. Subakdi, this service they do with the aim of increasing the empowerment of community rights and obligations in the purchase of motorized vehicles in installments.

"The socialization period we carried out was 6 months, what we provided was about how to prevent motorized vehicles being purchased from being taken or withdrawn by debt collectors in a way that violates the law," explained Subakdi to the UPNVJ Public Relations team.

Subakdi also explained that the withdrawal of motor vehicles carried out by debt collectors is sometimes carried out anywhere and accompanied by acts of intimidation and even violence by these groups of people, causing anxiety to the community. The public's concerns were then followed up by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the Indonesian Financial Services Association (APPI).

"With the provision of socialization, residents of the TNI-AL RT 008/006 Complex, Pondok Labu, Cilandak, South Jakarta use the knowledge gained during the socialization to take the best steps or legal remedies to overcome problems that occur in the future," said Subakdi.
