HumasUPNVJ - Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ), on the appointment of the Education Testing Management Agency (BP3), hosted the socialization of the 2023 National Selection of New Student Admissions (SNPMB) with 22 state tertiary institutions which were attended by dozens of high schools from all over the world. Indonesia offline and online at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus, South Jakarta, Thursday (8/12/2022).

"This activity is a gathering event as well as increasing the knowledge of all participants who attended. We hope that this event will open up a wealth of information about SNPMB 2023 and friendship between BP3, universities, schools, teachers, or other parties involved," said UPNVJ Chancellor Dr. Anter Venus, MA.Comm in his opening remarks

Venus said changes to the mechanism for admitting new students in the 2023 SNPMB needed to be known and observed by all parties. Middle school teachers who were present had to provide information to the students in their respective schools.

Chief Executive of SNPMB Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Prasetyo Widyobroto, DESS., DEA., IPU said there were several differences in the mechanism for admitting new students in 2023.

"If previously they did not receive the D-3 and D-4 options, this year the participants can choose to enter D-3, D-4 and bachelor degrees. In addition, it allows students from science majors to choose social studies majors, as well as social studies students can choose various science majors. Of course this choice must be made with full consideration and responsibility," he said.

Budi asked teachers and the public not to easily believe the confusing information circulating. He guarantees that the information presented at the event is information that is confirmed to be 100 percent correct.

BP3 has launched the SNPMB program since December 1, 2022. To inform about changes in the mechanism for admitting new students, BP3 has appointed eight state universities to host the socialization of SNPMB.

UPNVJ hosted the socialization in Region 3 Jakarta which was attended by 22 other tertiary institutions from various regions, namely Jakarta State University, Open University, Creative Media State Polytechnic, Jakarta State Polytechnic, Sambas State Polytechnic, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak State Polytechnic, State Polytechnic Tanah Laut, Banjarmasin State Polytechnic, and Lambung Mangkurat University.

Then, Palangka Raya University, Kalimantan Institute of Technology, Balikpapan State Polytechnic, Samarinda State Polytechnic, Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic, Mulawarman University, Borneo Tarakan University, Andalas University, Padang Panjang Indonesian Art Institute (ISI), Payakumbuh State Agricultural Polytechnic, Nunukan State Polytechnic, and Ketapang State Polytechnic.

Apart from the Chief Executive of SNPMB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Prasetyo Widyobroto, DESS., DEA., IPU, attended a number of other speakers, namely Deputy Chairperson 1 of SNPMB Prof. Dr. Yuliandri, SH, MH, and Head of the Education Assessment Center, BSKAP Kemendikbudristek Asrijanty, Ph.D.
