This event was held in the midst of the growing digital economy sector in the context of the national economy, which was marked by the emergence of pioneering companies or start-ups and the continued development of trading activities in cyberspace.

Giving a speech at the beginning of the event, UPNVJ Chancellor Dr. Anther Venus, MA. Comm said that currently UPNVJ is seriously building a digital ecosystem.

"In the next five years, we will really strengthen ourselves as an entrepreneur university. But we will build the foundation from now on," said Venus.

According to him, an event like OKEZONE GOES TO CAMPUS is a good opportunity to strengthen enthusiasm and expand networks for UPNVJ student ranks to enter the world of start-ups.

Venus said her enthusiasm for encouraging the establishment of start-ups was a form of UPNVJ's participation in the movement of five million entrepreneurs, which was part of Indonesia's Vision 2045. She stressed that of course the most important part in this matter were the actors, those who had started to initiate start-up businesses.

"Therefore, we continue to try to build a digital ecosystem. We need relationships, we need networks, and we need assistance from friends who are present today," said Venus.

Yadi Hendriana, Reporting Director of MNC Portal Indonesia, also gave a speech. He quoted President Joko Widodo's remarks inviting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to love domestic products and avoid or even not use foreign products at all.

He said that in the last few years, many start-ups have been born in Indonesia that produce a variety of domestically made products. A number of these start-ups have attracted the interest of investors who have decided to place their funds in Indonesia.

"Indonesia is one of the destinations for investors for start-ups , and this is a very large space. We can use this for the next few years, because it is currently booming in the world," said Yadi.

Even though it's booming, Yadi doesn't deny that there are also many local start-ups that wither before they develop. Since the beginning of last year and this year, continued Yadi, many start-ups have not been strong enough to support their economic fundamentals. He said that innovative ideas are indeed important, but in the end, economic fundamentals also determine the life and death of a start-up .

"Learning from many failures, I think we can make this a good study material," said Yadi.

Meanwhile, the Head of UPT Career Development and Entrepreneurship, Catur Nugrahaeni Puspita Dewi, M. Kom, appreciated the presence of MNC Portal Indonesia at the OKEZONE GOES TO CAMPUS event. According to him, this event also contributed to encouraging student enthusiasm to be involved in the start-up world.

"The hope is that UPNVJ students can become job creators, and those who already have start-ups can get bigger by utilizing existing digital marketing ," said Catur.
