The UPNVJ Academic Community Rejoices in the RI 78th Anniversary Competition Series

HumasUPNVJ - The celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia is closely related to various exciting competitions. This series of competitions is an expression of the Indonesian people's joy for the independence that the fighters have achieved with great difficulty in the past.

The Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University also celebrated the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia by holding a flag ceremony and a series of exciting competitions which were joined by academics.

The competitions held by UPNVJ included a competition to put nails in bottles; competition kicking the ball using a funnel; biscuit eating contest; cracker eating competition; winnowing billiard competition; UPNVJ germas gymnastics competitions and so on.

Nabila Rubianti, an outpatient clinic physiotherapist at the UPNVJ Limo Campus, took part in the excitement of the 17s competition. He took part in a cracker eating and kicking ball contest for the individual category, and put nails in bottles and billiards with winnowing for the team category.

"The program is exciting, but maybe from the implementation it can be divided into two competitions at one time to make it efficient," said Nabila.

Representing the student group, Kevin Marchelino admitted that he had an extraordinary experience from the celebration of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day at UPNVJ. He and his friends have participated in a cracker eating competition and putting nails in a bottle.

According to Kevin, the series of events celebrating the independence of the Republic of Indonesia at UPNVJ was a very meaningful celebration for him. "I hope we can continue to celebrate our independence with a stronger spirit in the coming years," he said excitedly.

From the lecturer's representative, Musa Maliki took part in the UPNVJ germas gymnastics and the competition to put nails into bottles. He said he was happy to be able to take part in the competition with his colleagues.

Meanwhile representing UPT, Mila Amalia Rahman said that the 17s competition this year was more exciting because more work units participated. "Each work unit has shown its teamwork," said Mila, who took part in more than four competitions.

Mila said that there were quite a lot and varied competitions for RI's 78th Anniversary at UPNVJ, but the preparation could be further improved in the future.

"Maybe next year there will be a competition for inserting a straw with your face into a bottle, a clog competition, or a ball competition in water," said Mila.

Temirlan Sailaubay, one of the Kazakh exchange program students from the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, also took part in the competition. Together with his friends in Indonesia, Temirlan took part in kicking ball competitions and eating crackers.

Overall, Temirlan admits that he likes both types of competitions because they are fun and active. In Kazakhstan, said Temirlan, traditional games are a bit more physical in nature, in contrast to Indonesia which according to him are more fun and can be followed by everyone.

"I like how Indonesia prepares events to commemorate its Independence Day. The patriotic atmosphere is felt everywhere," said Temirlan.
