UPNVJ Chancellor Becomes Member of IAPPI Expert Council 2023-2027

Public RelationsUPNVJ - Chancellor of the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm is a member of the Expert Council of the Indonesian Student Association Alumni Association (IAPPI) for the 2023-2027 period. Venus was chosen based on her expertise in the field of academics.

Venus is on the IAPPI Expert Council along with 15 other prominent figures, including Professor of International Law at the University of Indonesia Hikmahanto Juwana and Special Staff to the Minister of Cooperatives and UKM M. Riza Damanik.

Meanwhile, BUMN Minister Erick Thohir was officially appointed as Coordinator of the IAPPI Presidium Council. The inauguration event took place at the Smesco Convention Hall, Jakarta, on Thursday, October 12 2023.

In his speech, Erick hoped that IAPPI could become a driver of the nation's future.

"We only have one momentum, when our pyramid is currently very good. We as a nation must have a vision for our future. Both in the economic field, both in the political field. The question is who is the driving force? Of course the young figures," said Erick.

The stressful global situation is also a challenge for Indonesia. Erick said that sooner or later Indonesia's political direction would be questioned.

Meanwhile, according to Venus, the inauguration of the IAPPI management board was a strategic event designed by graduates, masters and doctors from abroad. The aim is to synergize the best Indonesian human resources who have sought knowledge throughout the world.

He said that Indonesian students who were educated at various well-known campuses abroad generally had a global outlook and had an outward-looking perspective.

"They have a comparison of how a nation or state is best managed in various aspects," said Venus.

"Starting from how education and transportation are managed with high quality standards to how small matters such as orderly queuing and waste disposal are practiced with excellent attention," he continued.

Venus said that Indonesian students who study abroad can gain many valuable lessons (lessons learned). The knowledge gained can then be applied to advance Indonesia.

"As Mr. Erick Thohir said, alumni from all over the world were brought together to contribute ideas and thoughts regarding the vision of a developed Indonesia from their perspective," said Venus.
