Public Relations of UPNVJ - Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) held the inauguration of books entitled “Pendidikan Bela Negara” and “Bahasa Indonesia” published by Erlangga on Monday, August 12, 2024. This inauguration took place in a series of activities for the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) UPNVJ which was held at Tennis Indoor Senayan.

In his speech, the President Director of PT. Penerbit Erlangga Raja Daud Manahara Hutauruk conveyed the importance of this book as the main reference in understanding the integration between National Defense education and mastery of the Indonesian language.

In addition, the book is also expected to provide in-depth insight for students regarding the vital role of language and nationalism in forming the nation's character.

National Defense Education includes historical and national values, and can create national awareness among the younger generation. In addition, Indonesian as a tool can also strengthen national identity which includes linguistic, cultural, and language roles in effective communication.

The book launch event was also attended by academic rectors, new students, and a number of invited guests. The launch of this book is an initial step in an effort to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of National Defense and language education in the context of higher education in Indonesia.
