HumasUPNVJ – UPN "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) held the peak event of the 47th Anniversary with full enthusiasm and optimism at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, Pondok Labu Campus (11/30). The event was opened by a speech by the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm.
In her opening speech, Venus highlighted the university's many outstanding achievements during 2024, while also emphasizing its commitment to continue transforming the world of higher education.
One of the monumental achievements is UPNVJ's success in ranking second in the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (IKU) in the BLU League, competing with 34 state universities in Indonesia. Specifically, UPNVJ won the best predicate for IKU 8 which focuses on internationalization. Not only that, UPNVJ also maintained the "UNGGUL" predicate in the SIMKATMAWA assessment for three consecutive years (2022-2024), which reflects the quality of the university's student system.
In the field of student achievement, UPNVJ recorded extraordinary achievements, with 649 achievements at the national level and 104 at the international level throughout 2024. Among them, the Gita Advayatva Student Choir won a bronze medal at the 2024 Penabur International Choir Festival , and the UPNVJ Pencak Silat team became the 2nd Overall Champion at the IPSI Malang Championship 4 National Championship, and one of the students of the Doctor Profession Program, Renasti Pratiwi, won a Gold Medal and Bronze Medal at the 21st National Sports Week (PON) in 2024 which was held in Aceh-North Sumatra.
The Rector also appreciated the success of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, including 26 students who passed the IISMA program to study at top world universities and 3 students who received Erasmus+ scholarships to Université de Poitiers. UPNVJ is also actively accepting international exchange students from Kazakhstan and the Philippines.
In terms of academics, 12 out of 40 UPNVJ study programs have achieved Excellent and A accreditation, including 10 programs that have received international accreditation from FIBAA. In addition, four study programs are undergoing the international accreditation process by ASIIN, a prestigious accreditation institution from Germany.
UPNVJ also recorded a significant increase in scientific publications. By the end of 2024, 14 of the university's 42 journals have been nationally accredited, with the target of all journals being accredited in the next two years. One of the journals of the Faculty of Medicine is even in the process of Scopus-Elsevier indexing.
At the institutional level, UPNVJ maintains the ISO 21001:2018 standard and achieves an A grade in the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP). In the realm of information disclosure, the university received the "Towards Informative" award in 2023.
"All these achievements are real evidence of UPNVJ's transformation towards excellence, as well as recognition of the quality of students, lecturers, and education staff who continue to be committed to supporting the progress of the institution," said Dr. Anter Venus.
The Chancellor closed his speech by thanking all academicians who have contributed to the achievement. The 47th Dies Natalis is a moment of reflection as well as a driving force to continue moving forward, bringing UPNVJ to become a leading university at the national and international levels.
