Sustainable Village 2024 carries the theme "KOMPAK: Maximum Collaboration for Sustainable Development and Action," which aims to optimize community service through collaboration between seven faculties. The synergy between faculties is expected to solve various village problems and develop local potential by utilizing each other's expertise. This program focuses on five main aspects: economy, technology, health, advocacy, and education. In addition, it is hoped that this collaboration will also strengthen friendship and cooperation between faculties for better village development.
Sustainable Village 2024 was held again in Cijantur Village, Rabak Village, Bogor Regency, West Java. This is the third year of the program in Cijantur, with various innovations and development strategies to overcome village problems and optimize local potential. Some of the innovative activities carried out include community advocacy and economic empowerment through the development of the Cijantur coffee business, which aims to improve the welfare and sustainability of the village.
Sustainable Village 2024 received wide appreciation and support from various parties, including campuses, the UPNVJ Alumni Association, Rabak Village, Rumpin District Health Center, and Bank Indonesia. Enthusiasm also came from the village community who warmly welcomed the return of this program. Not only that, a number of companies and institutions, such as Camy.id , Kitabisa.com , Mayora , Solariz , and Iceler , also made real contributions. This support is an important foundation to ensure the implementation of programs that have a positive and sustainable impact on village communities.
Sustainable Village 2024 collaborates with the Enterprise Development Center and the Faculty of Computer Science Student Executive Board to develop local economic potential through the empowerment of Cijantur coffee. The pre-event stage includes mentoring the roasting, grinding, packaging, and digital marketing processes. On the day itself, the program focuses on financial literacy, digitalization, product distribution, and the launch of a local coffee brand, “Aroma Cijantur.” The results of this program not only create a local brand but also encourage the downstreaming of Cijantur coffee. It is hoped that the community can enjoy the benefits of the coffee they grow, while also improving the economic welfare of the village.
Education is one of the main focuses of Sustainable Village 2024, through collaboration with the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) . For four days, this program presents interactive learning with materials such as national insight, ethics, natural resource management, clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), and artistic and environmental creativity. Creative activities, such as painting tote bags and making crafts from ecobricks , are designed to encourage self-expression and productive use of waste. The program closes with a Heroes' Day ceremony , teaching students the importance of respecting the services of heroes and getting them used to following ceremonies in a good manner.
In the development of the health sector, Sustainable Village 2024 collaborates with the BEM of the Faculty of Health Sciences , BEM of the Faculty of Medicine , and the Rumpin District Health Center . This program includes medical check-up activities and health education , which are designed as preventive measures to prevent health problems in Kampung Cijantur. This collaboration ensures that every activity is carried out safely and on target, supporting the main goal of the program to improve the quality of life of the community.
Sustainable Village 2024 together with the BEM Faculty of Engineering continues the implementation of solar panel-based Public Street Lighting (PJU) in Cijantur Village. This year, five new points were successfully installed, increasing the total solar panel PJU to 18 points. This initiative not only addresses the lack of lighting in the village, but also supports the use of environmentally friendly renewable energy, while providing sustainable benefits to the local community.
Sustainable Village 2024 introduces innovation in the form of community welfare advocacy , in collaboration with the Faculty of Law and LKBH UPNVJ . This initiative aims to increase awareness of related institutions regarding village problems, support sustainability, and fight for community rights. Activities include focus group discussion forums (FGD) and the preparation of a Problem Inventory List (DIM) to be submitted to related agencies. It is hoped that community aspirations can be accommodated and concrete solutions can be realized.
