HumasUPNVJ - The Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia conducted a working visit to the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) to directly review the implementation of the 2025 Computer-Based Written Examination for National Selection Based on Tests (UTBK-SNBT), on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
The visit was led by Ombudsman RI member Indraza Marzuki Rais, who was welcomed directly by the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA. Comm., along with the university's leadership. This activity aims to ensure that the implementation of UTBK-SNBT runs in accordance with the principles of transparency, accountability, and in accordance with applicable procedures.
The Chancellor of UPNVJ expressed his appreciation for the attention and support of the Indonesian Ombudsman for the implementation of this national selection.
"The presence of the Ombudsman is a form of positive external supervision so that we can continue to maintain the quality and integrity in the implementation of the UTBK-SNBT center," said Prof. Venus.
Meanwhile, Indraza Marzuki Rais stated that UPNVJ has shown good readiness in organizing UTBK-SNBT 2025.
"In general, the implementation at UPNVJ was orderly and according to procedure. We also appreciate the openness of information conveyed to participants and the public," he said.
Indraza advised all parties, both organizers at the central and university levels, to maintain good standards. He also conveyed a message to the participants so that they all can maintain honesty and smoothness in carrying out tasks.
"Hopefully the participants can also maintain honesty and integrity in working on the questions. Hopefully they will succeed and get the desired results," he said.
During the visit, the Indonesian Ombudsman team directly reviewed various technical aspects of the exam implementation, including infrastructure readiness, participant arrival flow, identity verification process, exam supervision system, and anticipation of possible technical obstacles. In addition, the team also held dialogues with participants and local committees to identify potential issues that may arise.
This review was conducted by six members of the Indonesian Ombudsman accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Henry Binsar, the Coordinator of the UTBK-SNBT UPNVJ Implementation, Fajar Nugroho and the Coordinator of Monev Lidya Primta Surbakti, SE.M.Si.Ak, CA.,Ph.D.
UTBK-SNBT 2025 at UPNVJ was attended by thousands of participants from various regions in Indonesia. The exam was held in several waves since April 23, 2025, with strict protocols to maintain the safety and comfort of all participants.
UPNVJ is committed to continuously improving the quality of higher education services and ensuring a transparent national selection process for prospective students.
