UPNVJ Public Relations - For the first time since its founding, the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) has officially opened registration to international students wishing to study in Indonesia. This policy represents a strategic step by the university to expand its international reach and strengthen its global competitiveness in higher education.

This step also marks a new chapter in UPNVJ's journey as a Public Service Agency State University (PTN-BLU), continuously striving to improve academic quality and foster international collaboration. The international student enrollment program is open for the 2025/2026 academic year and covers undergraduate (S1) and master's (S2) levels.

According to UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, the opening of the international student registration pathway is part of UPNVJ's commitment to supporting the internationalization of higher education in Indonesia. Venus believes that the presence of international students on campus can create a more inclusive and multicultural learning environment and open up opportunities for research collaboration and broader knowledge exchange.

The registration process is carried out online through the university's official website and is open from May 10, 2025 to June 28, 2025.

Fajar Nugroho, UPNVJ's Penmaru Coordinator, said that around 195 prospective foreign students took the interview test on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

Abubaker Mohamed Gasmelseed Ahmed, a prospective new student from Qatar, said in an interview that he chose UPNVJ because of its strategic location in the capital city of Jakarta, its excellent facilities, and its intriguing National Defense identity. With this pathway, UPNVJ hopes to attract students from various countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe, while also introducing Indonesian culture and noble values to the world stage.
