HumasUPNVJ - Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University held a university-level Indonesian Student Debate Competition (KDMI) at UPNVJ's Pondok Labu Campus on Tuesday (6/6). This competition is a forum for students to convey ideas and opinions on various issues.
The UPNVJ Level KDMI was attended by 10 teams, each of which consisted of two students. They come from the study programs of International Relations, Political Science, Development Economics, Communication Studies, and Law.
"This competition is very interesting because it hones the ability to speak in public as well as argue and master current important issues," said Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Cooperation Dr. dr. Ria Maria Theresa, SpKJ., MH.
"The participants showed their ability to build arguments, express opinions, and also have good dialogue with debaters," he continued.
Ria appreciated all the participants who worked hard and were eager to show their best performance. Not only that, Vice Rector III also thanked the jury for their important role in determining the quality of the debate.
In everyday life, debates can sometimes lead to disputes if both parties do not react calmly. In KDMI at the university level, the course of the debate between UPNVJ students ran smoothly.
"Keep respecting the opinions and ideas of all of your friends," said Ria.
Fairuz Mumtaz Abafiyah Putri and Yandi Kurniawan from the Law study program who are members of the Salam One Hukum team succeeded in winning first place at the university level KDMI. Both of them will represent UPNVJ to compete at the national level.
