The Institute for Community Service and Empowerment (LPPM) UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, November 9-29 2015 conducted Community Empowerment Learning (KKN) Community Empowerment Learning (PPM) in Wells District, Pendeglang Regency, Banten. The KKN-PPM participants were attended by 86 students and 14 field supervisors (DPL). KKN-PPM is divided into two waves.

The first batch of 40 students and 7 accompanying lecturers arrived on Monday, 9 November 2015, to carry out KKN-PPM for the next ten days in 7 local villages. Join the group Ka. LPPM UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Dr. Retno Dyah Kusumastuty, M.Si, along with the KKN-PPM committee. The delegation was welcomed and accepted by the Head of Sumur District, Pandeglang Regency, Drs. Epi Sutiasa, M.Sc.

In his remarks, the Head of Sumur District, Pandeglang Regency, Epi Sutiasa expressed his respect and gratitude to UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, which has placed the KKN-PPM participants in Sumur District, Pandeglang Regency. what is expected by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, namely a mental change so that residents in Sumur Subdistrict are willing or able to help themselves, that is what we all hope for because in Sumur Subdistrict they often receive assistance from both the Government and Foreign Affairs, this is what makes local residents dependent and that's what we wouldn't expect. "Hopefully, with the KKN-PPM from UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, it will be successful in motivating residents to be able to help themselves, he said.

LPPM UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Dr. Retno Dyah Kusumastuti, M.Si said her deepest gratitude to the Sumur Sub-District Head, Pandeglang Regency, who had accepted the 2015 KKN-PPM participant students at this place. He stated that the 2015 KKN-PPM was spread across seven underdeveloped villages that would receive KPDP assistance. For this reason, the method used is the communication network method so that there will be actor relationships with other actors so that we will get maximum results and are right on target in accordance with nawacita. one of which has been proclaimed by the president is to help and develop suburban areas, he said.
