PKP2 Batch 1 Has Finished, UPNVJ Lecturers Are More Prepared and Competent in Carrying Out Guidance Duties in the Future

Public Relations UPNVJ – The 2024 Batch 1 Student Creativity Program (PKP2) Progress Assessment Activity has finally entered its final day today, Friday 26 July 2024. For five days, participating students from all over Indonesia have gone through various detailed evaluation stages, to ensure that every project they work on meets established standards.

Not only the students have tried hard but also the hosts and co-hosts who have successfully moderated the Zoom meeting during the PKM proposal presentation session. Their role is very crucial in ensuring the smoothness and success of this event.

This solid collaboration between hosts and co-hosts creates a conducive and interactive atmosphere, so that participants can submit their proposals with confidence and assessors can provide constructive feedback.

On the occasion of the last day of PKP2 implementation, the Public Relations Team of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) had the opportunity to interview one of the lecturers who was the host, Named Dwi Arwandi Yogi Saputra, S.KM, M.KM from the Faculty of Medicine.

The man who is familiarly called Yogi shared the reasons behind his participation as a Zoom host for the PKP2 event. He admitted that he volunteered personally to be the host for the implementation of PKP2.

The main reason why he was interested in taking on this role was because he wanted to learn more about the various things that lecturers need to do when guiding students in implementing the Student Creativity Program (PKM) as a program that is implemented nationally.

"For the application, I submitted it personally for the implementation of PKP2. "The basic thing is why I want to because I feel interested in knowing what needs to be done when we guide students in implementing PKM because now it is national." He said when met at the Computer Lab, lt. 3 UPNVJ FIC.

According to him, during the five days of implementation there were no serious obstacles that hampered the implementation of PKP2 Batch 1. Even though there were non-technical obstacles experienced by participants from outside the region, these could be overcome quickly by the committee so that participants could still make proposal presentations.

"Thank God, the five days of implementation went smoothly without any significant obstacles. Maybe (there are) small non-technical obstacles for participants who are basically outside the area with lost signal conditions. So, those are obstacles in themselves that can be a reference for us to be better as PKP2 organizers themselves. "But these obstacles are not significant obstacles, further alternatives can be done (for example) by contacting them by telephone and in the end the participants tried their best to take part in this PKP2 activity and thank God it went smoothly."

As host, Yogi feels that UPNVJ has provided adequate facilities according to the required standards and hopes that UPNVJ can maintain them for similar activities in the future.

"As for the facilities themselves, everything has been accommodated well. Both in terms of infrastructure, internet connection, network, especially online , where the network is a very complex factor needed for the implementation of the Zoom meeting itself. "In the future, personally, it seems like we will remain consistent with what has been provided by UPNVJ." he answered.

Yogi was scheduled to be the host for two days, namely the first day and the last day. During two days of listening to the participants' presentations, Yogi said there were two proposals that were interesting to him.

The first proposal came from PKMK or entrepreneurship. One of the teams proposed a creative business idea entitled Beeswax Wrap and Beeswax Bag. Based on his explanation, the team from the Kwik Kian Gie Business Institute brought a business idea using beeswax and used cloth waste as an alternative environmentally friendly and economical packaging product.

As a lecturer with a background in Public Health, Yogi considers that this proposal has given him new insight into how to do business well and how to market it.

The second proposal came from the Constructive Ideas Video (VGK) brought by students from Gadjah Mada University (UGM). The proposal which he thought was good was entitled Medicamorph.

Medicamorph talked about the idea of AI-based clinical recording transformation and Holographic Communication between Health workers. This is very interesting for Yogi because according to him, in the current era, technology is very synergistic with health workers

Continuing today, because I work at VGK or Video Constructive Ideas, I just got a proposal that I think is good with the title Medicamorph. So this is one of the ideas given by students from UGM regarding the idea of AI-based clinical recording transformation and Holographic Communication between Health workers. This innovation not only promises greater efficiency in medical data management, but also presents new ways for health workers to communicate and collaborate.

For Yogi, participating in PKP2 activities provides in-depth insight regarding various important aspects that must be considered when running a project, such as team cohesion, time management, how to make a good and correct proposal, and how to prepare the right budget.

"The assessor's point of view is a reference for me. If I am given the opportunity to become a supervisor for PKM, I will implement it for UPNVJ." he added.

Hosting this event gives lecturers the opportunity to not only learn directly from experts and practitioners who share their knowledge, but also to develop skills in managing and facilitating online activities. In this way, lecturers can be better prepared and competent in carrying out guidance duties in the future, as well as contribute more effectively in supporting students to achieve their goals in PKM.
