UPN "Veteran" Jakarta held a Flag Ceremony on January 17, 2016 which was held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the UPN "Veteran" Pondok Labu Campus Ceremony Field. The ceremony took place starting at 07.30 WIB and went solemnly.
As the ceremonial officer this time was the FISIP satker. And acting as the coach was UPNV Jakarta Deputy Chancellor III Ceremony attended by Vice Chancellors, Deans/Dir PPs., Ka. Work Units, Lecturers, and UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Employees.

In his remarks, the Chancellor of UPNV Jakarta, which was read by the Ceremony Trustees, said that the National Selection for Entering State Universities (SNMPT) and the Joint Selection for Entering State Universities (SBMPTN) had been launched on January 15 2016. Where for SNMPTN filling and verification of school and student data bases (PDSS) starting today January 18 - February 20 2016 and registration on February 29 - March 12 2016 and graduation announcements on May 10 2016, while for the SBMPTN has changed, registration for paper-based written exams April 25 - May 20 2016, Computer-based Writing Exam Registration April 25 – May 9 2016; computer-based written exam May 28-30 2016, paper-based written exam May 31 2016 and announcement of SBMPTN graduation on June 28 2016. The purpose of tertiary institution selection through various pathways is to expand access and get prospective new students who have high academic achievements. For this reason, after getting good students, it is the responsibility of managers, lecturers and education staff to continue to develop the quality of implementing the Tridarma of Higher Education
