In her opening remarks, Venus stated that the provision of philosophy for students was important, not only for the purpose of building students' awareness of the position and workings of science but also for awakening students' critical abilities, fostering curiosity and making them flexible and open-minded.

"In this era of disruption, where uncertainty and abundance of information are its characteristics, coupled with the phenomenon of strengthening wholesale news and post truth which makes it difficult to distinguish between facts and hoaxes and makes false news that matches their beliefs and emotional ties become the standard of truth, then think critically philosophy becomes urgent to be given to students”. Definitely Venus

Venus further explained that in order to build an academic culture and reasoning culture, lecturers who have insight into the philosophy of science and logic are needed.

"Hopefully in the future, the lecturers needed in the world of education are those who are able to think flexibly, openly, creatively and are able to think critically. Only a lecturer like this will be able to equip students to face the challenges of a new life in the future." Close Venus in closing remarks
