Public Relations UPNVJ - Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) has again released nine students to carry out International Real Work Lectures (KKN) in NTT-Timor Leste and Medan.
The release was carried out directly by UPNVJ Chancellor Dr Anter Venus accompanied by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM).
"This is the second year we are releasing students to carry out KKN. This program is part of UPNVJ's strategic steps for internationalization," said Venus.
"We have taken several steps, including the current ones," he continued, in a statement in the UPNVJ Rectorate Lobby.
Venus hopes that the students who go to KKN can contribute to the progress of UPNVJ and also maintain the good name of the alma mater.
"You are bringing the good name of UPNVJ. Maintain the good name of our alma mater. Make a good and maximum contribution. This is our effort to spread the value of National Defense. In KKN like this, it is time to interact with other people or other cultures, which is a way of implementing National Defense , especially in the field of community development," he explained.
The implementation of the NTT-Timor Leste International KKN will be held for 1 month in NTT and 1 month in Timor Leste on 5 August 2024 – 24 September 2024. Meanwhile, the 2024 Medan BKS-PTN Barat Medan International KKN will be held for 1 month in Medan, Sumatra West on August 6 – September 5 2024.
In the distribution, there are four students who will go to NTT-Timor Leste, and 5 students will go to Medan.
Venus also advised that this agenda is a direct practice to train leadership skills and solve problems directly which can be a provision for students before entering the industrial world.
"Start practicing leadership skills and solving problems in the field. This is learning based on your experience in the field. As Chancellor, I am proud and grateful to LPPM, the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and all parties involved consistently in improving the quality of our education," he concluded .
