Nostalgia for Veterans to UPN Veterans Jakarta Leaves a Special Message for the Younger Generation

UPNVJ Public Relations - During a working visit conducted by the DPP Legiun Veterans of the Republic of Indonesia (LVRI) to UPNVJ, last Thursday 12 November 2020, these Freedom Fighters claimed to be nostalgic for being able to come to this Campus with the identity of Defending the Country.

Through interviews with Maj. Gen. TNI Purn. Saiful Sulun as General Chairperson of LVRI said that this Working Visit was in order to re-tie the common thread between Veterans and UPNVJ, because previously UPN was born by Veterans.

His impression that can be shared when he came to UPNVJ was that he was very happy and proud because it was not easy to educate a number of 12,000 students who are permanent and still carry the values of the struggle of Veterans according to their expectations.

Sulun also asked the Young Generation to interpret Defending the Country. For him, Defending the Country is an obligation and a must for the Next Generation, namely young people. This country founded by its predecessors, namely the Indonesian Nation, will be in vain and lost if it is not guarded and cared for. " The fighters used to win independence, now who is in charge of caring for and protecting it? Yes, young man. You are the ones who carry on this Nation, so we need the " SPIRIT OF DEFENDING THE COUNTRY ", he continued.

He who once fought in Ops. The 1963 Trikora Military has a special message for the youth of the nation's generation. “In the past, our predecessors fought, willing to sacrifice for independence. Now that they are independent, it is the duty of the younger generation to continue the struggle of their predecessors. What's that ? Filling Independence by building and maintaining. To build, it takes educated young people. This is where UPNVJ's role is to educate children to be more advanced.”
