UPNVJ Collaborates with Education and Culture Attache of Indonesian Embassy in Washington D.C, USA to Hold 2022 BIANKA Webinar

UPNVJ PR - The Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) invited several foreign universities such as Auburn University, Indiana Bloomington University and the University of Hawaii at Manoa in the BIANKA (Bincang Karya) webinar activity / Creation Talks 2022 (12/05), which was attended by approximately 100 participants. BIANKA is a multi-stakeholder discussion forum initiated by the Education and Culture Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, D.C., U.S.A. This webinar also invited Indonesian students who are pursuing doctoral and postgraduate studies at foreign universities.

BG (Purn) Soroy Lardo, MD, IDC, PhD, Disease Specialist of the RSPAD as Director of the UPNVJ Veterans Health Research Institute served as moderator at the beginning of the event, "UPN Veteran Jakarta is one of the leading universities in Indonesia. What is unique about this University is that it has the spirit of patriotism as one of its visions with Education and Research being one of the main goals and objectives. The main priority of preventive medicine in the perspective of hospitals and the community is bridged by scientific capacity in the fields of biomolecular and immunology in hopes of contributing to the health and resilience of the nation," he said.

dr. Soroy also conducted an interview with UPNVJ's PR, in his interview, dr. Soroy briefly explained about the BIANKA webinar, “This event is actually a form of collaboration of the International Unit between UPNVJ and the Education and Culture Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, D.C., U.S.A. We will cooperate in the fields of Education and Research. To start our activities, we held this BIANKA webinar. BIANKA is a creativity talk between universities in Indonesia and universities abroad. Those involved in this activity are the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences of UPNVJ, to also build cooperation in the fields of hyperbaric, biomolecular and immunology,” he explained.

“I hope that in the future UPNVJ can bring Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences to the international level. And hopefully all UPNVJ lecturers can have the opportunity to continue their studies at universities that have collaborated with us. What we have to know is that the world is very wide... there is knowledge everywhere, so hopefully the entire UPNVJ academic community can take advantage of the opportunities that exist, especially in the fields of education and research," he concluded.
