Visiting UKM, UPNVJ Master of Communication Sciences Discusses Research Collaboration

Public RelationsUPNVJ - The Master of Communication Science (MIK) Study Program at the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) visited the Institute of Malaysian and International Studies (IKMAS) Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) to strengthen previously existing cooperative relations.

The visit, which was carried out on 6-8 February 2024, discussed the follow-up to cooperation in the education sector, including joint research.

"This is a return visit that was previously carried out by the Director of IKMAS UKM, Prof. Dr. Sufian and Prof. Kamarulnizam. We also included our Communication Science postgraduate students to be able to experience the teaching directly by Prof. Kamarulnizam," said Dr. Fitria Ayuningtyas, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs FISIP UPNVJ.

Apart from Dr. Fitria Ayuningtyas, also present in the UPNVJ group was the Head of the Study Program Munadhil Abdul Muqsith, Ph.D and a number of students.

Meanwhile, the party representing UKM is Prof. Dr. Sufian Jusoh, Prof. Dr. Mohd Kamarulnizam Bin Abdullah, Prof. Madya Dato' Paduka Dr Junaidi Abu Bakar.

During this visit, UPNVJ did not only discuss educational cooperation. UPNVJ Science and Communication Masters students who attended also received lessons related to research methodology in social sciences delivered by UKM experts.

The current collaboration between UPNVJ and UKM includes the exchange of teachers in the Master of International Relations study program taught by Prof. Dr Sufian Jusoh who is on Dr. Dr. Shanti Darmastuti; joint publication in a reputable indexed journal by Prof. Sufian and Dr. Shanti; and Postdoctoral Fellowship scholarship to Dr. Munadhil Abdul Muqisth.
