UPN "Veteran" Jakarta won the Best Paper Award

In the event "International Joint Conference on Science and Technology" (IJCST)
The International Joint Conference on Science and Technology (IJCST) is an international conference initiated by several state universities in East Java, Bali and Sulawesi.
IJCST has been recognized as a leading consortium in Indonesia. Many conferences have been held under the IJCST umbrella, notably the ICST ( International Conference on Science and Technology) and
ICSS (International Conference on Social Sciences). UPNVJ only participated in the conference this year as a member of a consortium of 12 other universities which was held at the Sheraton Hotel
& Tower Surabaya on 17-18 October 2019, with the theme " Industrial Revolution 4.0: The Opportunities and Challenges in Elevating Local Resources Contribute to Develop a Better World" ,
and this year Trunojoya University as the host.
The beginning of the event was opened by the Chancellor of Trunojoyo University, Dr.Drs.Ec.H.Muh.Syarif, M.Sc.
In his speech he said "Trunojoyo is a state university in Madura, East Java, which has the hope to continue research and teaching by collaborating both domestically and abroad."
The next event was the signing of the MoU and MoA of the Consortium which was carried out by the Rector or representatives from 13 Universities as members of the Consortium. UPN Veteran Jakarta was represented by the Chancellor, namely Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA.
There are 700 scientific articles submitted to the committee, 633 articles selected by the committee, the accepted articles will be published openly by the Scopus indexed IOP Journal of Physics, according to the chairman of the committee.
Of the 633 selected articles, 15 were the best articles, one of the best articles was won by UPNV Jakarta, which was represented by Faculty of Engineering lecturers by sending 9 article titles and 1 title from LP2M. The best article on behalf of lecturer Reda Rizal as team leader and Sargi Ginting and Lomo Mula Tua as members with the title of the article:
“ Husk as a Substitute for Styrofoam plastic Products Manufacturing Packaging ”
It is hoped that the involvement of the Faculty of Engineering in this event can motivate other Faculty lecturers at UPNVJ to be able to take part in this international event, the upcoming event will be held in Makassar in 2020. Next year's plan will be held on 23–25 July 2020 at Makasar State University, this was conveyed by the organizing committee at the IJCST closing ceremony.
