UPNVJ FIKes Matra Practicum Activities

Depok, July 29 2015 at the UPNVJ Faculty of Health Sciences, Limo Campus, Depok, a series of pilot activities "Integrated Disaster Management Simulation" was held. This activity was carried out and participated in by 179 FIKes UPNVJ students, especially students from the Bachelor of Nursing Study Program, Bachelor of Nutrition Science and Diploma 3 of Nursing. Starting at 09.00 WIB. The guests who attended this activity included Col. NS. Hendrik, SKep. MKep as Instructor from RSPAD, Kapt. Ronny, SKep. Mkep as the Head of the Marine Hospital Disaster Task Force and the Marine YONKES Team as Supervisors.

The simulation started with a plane that was about to land in the Pondok Cabe field, suddenly had an accident, namely the engine died and fell on the FIKes building and students who were exercising in the field, causing many victims. From these victims, it was identified that there were victims who suffered burns, broken bones, heavy bleeding, heart disease, were unconscious and many also suffered minor injuries.

In order to facilitate the handling of these victims, triage is carried out to group victims based on treatment priorities, including: victims who need immediate treatment such as victims with heavy bleeding, extensive burns, heart disease, shortness of breath, unconscious, grouped in color triage red. Victims with broken bones, open wounds, stress, respiratory problems, are included in the yellow triage group. Meanwhile, victims with minor injuries, dislocations and weakness due to shock and do not require immediate treatment are grouped in the green triage

Handling of victims at crime scenes under the control of Field Instructor Lieutenant Colonel Ns. Hendik Wicaksono, S.Kep, M.Kep from Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital. For victims who are on the 2nd floor, they will be lowered using a high-altitude evacuation technique using an NR stretcher by the high-altitude evacuation team under the supervision of a TIM from the YONKES MARINIR. Meanwhile, further treatment for identified victims was carried out in the emergency room at the UPNVJ field hospital under the control of Captain Ronny, S.Kep. M.Kep Marine Disaster Management Unit.

In order to meet the nutritional needs of the victims, the Nutrition Science students immediately opened a public kitchen, and identified the nutritional needs of each category of victims.
