Facing the Increasingly Complex Business World, UPNVJ Opens Business Law Study Program

 

HumasUPNVJ - Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has opened a new study program in Business Law in an effort to produce students with the knowledge and skills needed to manage legal aspects in the business world.

With the rapid development of the business world and increasingly complex regulations, the need for professionals who understand the law and business practices is very high. This is what drives UPNVJ to produce competent human resources in the legal field in the business world.

On that basis, UPNVJ established a new study program which was granted permission to open based on the Decree of the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Technology Number 13/A/O/2025 which was stipulated on January 10, 2025.

 

Excess

The Business Law Study Program at the Faculty of Law (FH) UPNVJ will significantly contribute to the implementation of education that focuses on sustainability in the SDGs, especially SDGs number 4 (Quality Education) and SDGs number 16 (Justice and Strong Institutions).

The Business Law study program provides a relevant educational foundation. It allows students to combine legal and business aspects in the context of social justice and institutional strengthening, creating graduates who have a positive impact on society and the business world.

Based on Law Number 12 of 2012 concerning the Higher Education System, Presidential Regulation Number 8 of 2012 concerning the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework and Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Number 53 of 2023 concerning Quality Assurance of Higher Education ensures that this program is under strict and standard guidelines.

By complying with these regulations, this new study program provides the assurance of the quality of education needed to produce qualified graduates who meet national standards.

 

Job Opportunities

This study program also produces graduates who can work and play a professional role in various sectors, such as Central and Regional Government Agencies, Law Firms and Legal Consultants, Private Companies, International Organizations, and other sectors with the skills and knowledge gained during the study.

Graduates of the Business Law study program are expected to contribute significantly in various sectors, ensuring that business operations are in accordance with applicable legal provisions, and providing innovative and efficient legal solutions.

 

Subject

In terms of implementation, each semester Business Law offers a combination of theory and practice, which aims to comprehensively prepare students to face the challenges of a graduate's career as a business law expert.

The distribution of courses covers various important aspects of business law, from basic law to specific laws relevant to today's industry. The courses offered also reflect the need for analytical skills and practical skills required in solving legal problems.

The curriculum also includes the development of additional skills such as leadership, citizenship, and professional ethics, all of which are essential in producing competent and highly integrated graduates.
