Monday, October 24 2016. The "Veteran" Jakarta National Development University is a New State University (PTNB) which has the characteristics of a State Defense campus.

In order to develop the concept of State Defense curriculum and learning, UPNVJ held a "National Defense Seminar" which was attended and gave remarks from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Defense University, the National Defense Institute, ITB, UPN Yogyakarta and UPN East Java and the Deans. This event is the closing series of the 2nd "Veteran" UPN Anniversary.

This event was intended to obtain input from several speakers regarding the concept of State Defense education in tertiary institutions. The Education and Training Agency of the Ministry of Defense conveyed the concept of State Defense, and directions from Prof. Indroyono conveyed that there are differences between State Defense in the military and non-military systems. The purpose of this seminar is to find or create a model of state defense education in tertiary institutions which will later be implemented in the new educational curriculum.
