HumasUPNVJ - The government continues to work to prevent the spread of fake news (hoaxes) and hate speech due to the recent rampant acts of terror and radicalism. The State Civil Service Agency (BKN) has instructed all State Civil Apparatuses (ASN) not to spread hoaxes and hate speech containing SARA which have the potential to become a source of national division.

There have been complaints from the public regarding ASN's involvement in various hate speech activities which have contributed to the worsening of the nation's situation, the BKN is firm that any ASN proven to have spread hate speech and fake news is included in the category of disciplinary violations.

Reporting from the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) states that six hate speech activities are categorized as disciplinary violations, namely:

  1. Express opinions both orally and in writing via social media containing hate speech against Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, NKRI, and the Government;
  2. Express opinions both orally and in writing via social media that contain hate speech against one ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup
