HumasUPNVJ - Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) through the Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) inaugurated a new innovation in the field of digitalization, namely a digital library or Digital Library which will officially operate on the 1st floor of the FIK Building.
The inauguration was marked by the official ribbon cutting by the Chancellor of UPNVJ Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, witnessed directly by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, partners and academics of FIK UPNVJ on Monday, February 17, 2025.
On his occasion, Dean of FIK UPNVJ Prof. Supriyanto said that there is something different from the Digital Library in general. FIK provides the latest tools, namely DigiLib which functions to make it easier for users to find the data they need. DigiLib is a desktop-based service and can be used to view digital collections.
"We have prepared 7,000 digital book collections that continue to grow and can be downloaded for free by lecturers and students. In addition, we also prepare DigiLib tools that make it easier for visitors to find whatever they need for research needs and so on," explained Prof. Supriyanto.
As a form of gratitude for the innovation that has been realized, the Chancellor of UPNVJ also cut the tumpeng as a marker of the inauguration of the Digital Library which can be accessed by students and lecturers in the UPNVJ environment.
In addition to the inauguration of the Digital Library, FIK also held a student innovation exhibition which was exhibited live in the hallway of the FIK Building.
There are ten student innovations displayed, ranging from website innovations to robotics that have many functions. All innovations presented have various functions that can be implemented by all groups.
