Jakarta – In order to increase understanding and build awareness of the importance of protecting intellectual property within UPNVJ. The Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) held the "Inauguration of the UPNVJ Intellectual Property Center and the Signing of a Cooperation Agreement Between the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (KI) Ministry of Law and Human Rights and ÜPN "Veteran" Jakarta" in the Meeting Room of the UPNVJ Rectorate Building, Wednesday (09/05 /18).

The signing of this Cooperation was carried out directly by the Director General of Information Technology, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Dr. Freddy Harris, SH, LL.M, ACCS and UPNVJ Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ir. Eddy S. Siradj, M.Sc.Eng with the aim of building awareness and the importance of protecting intellectual property so that works resulting from educational, research and training activities as a result of community service organized by UPNVJ can be protected in the intellectual property system and can be utilized for the benefit of UPNVJ.

In his remarks, the Chancellor of UPNVJ said that this collaboration could provide guidance, especially to lecturers so that they know more about the importance of intellectual property. He also appreciated the inauguration of the Intellectual Property Center at UPNVJ. " I also hope that the presence of the Director General of KI can provide direction to us, especially the lecturers, so they know the importance of intellectual property. I am also very happy that now UPNVJ has an Intellectual Property Center so that lecturers who have new innovations can do it as well as possible, "said the Chancellor of UPNVJ.

The event was continued with a public lecture by the Director General of Information Technology, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Dr. Freddy Harris, SH, LL.M, ACCS and giving souvenirs and group photos.
