HumasUPNVJ - UPN Veteran Jakarta Health Research Ethics Commission (KEPK) Re-Survey for the 2nd recognition by the Strategic Initiative for Developing Capacity in Ethical Review (SIDCER) Forum for Ethical Review Committees in the Asian and the Western Pacific Region (FERCAP) which was held on September 12-14 2019 at the UPN Veteran Jakarta campus.
This activity was attended by 4 members of the Survey Team , namely Mrs. Milagros Viacrusis from the Philippines as the Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Madarina Julia, Ph.D as Lead , dr. Agussalim Bukhari, Ph.D, and Dr. drg. Lisa Rinanda Amir as the Local Surveyor and 15 Trainees from representatives of the Indonesian Ethics Commission.
UPN Veteran Jakarta Chancellor Erna Hernawati in her remarks said that "It has become our commitment to innovate KEPK services supported by adequate facilities. It is hoped that the results of this re-survey can contribute to the development of the realm of scientific studies at UPNVJ," said the Chancellor.
Madarina when giving her directions said "This survey and evaluation helps KEPK in improving the governance and performance of KEPK UPNVJ with the aim of evaluating the work being done and assessing whether KEPK complies with legal ethical standards both nationally and internationally" she explained.
In practice, the Survey Team and Trainee Team were divided into several groups by assessing several indicators which included Office & Equipment , SOP, Filling System , Management, and Evaluating .
For the next three days the Survey Team and Trainee Team will work hard to see, assess and evaluate the overall performance of KEPK UPN Veteran Jakarta. The recommendations from the survey results will later become material for the KEPK UPNVJ action plan which must be completed and the results will be announced in November in Malaysia at the SIDCER-FERCAP International Conference .
