The Association of Indonesian Public Health Higher Education Institutions (AIPTKMI) Regional DKI Jakarta, Banten and West Java held a meeting which took place at the Tanah Airku Auditorium, Faculty of Health Sciences UPN Veterans Jakarta. Tuesday (4/2/2020).
The AIPTKMI meeting this time was attended by 28 members attended by 17 from all the leaders of the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Heads of the Regional Public Health Study Programs for DKI Jakarta, Banten and West Java including the Faculty of Public Health UPN Veterans Jakarta.
Chairman of AIPTKMI, dr. Agustin Kusumayanti, M.Sc, Ph.D said this meeting was to discuss management and to discuss strategic issues faced by public health education in Indonesia.
Furthermore, the Head of Regional AIPTKMI DKI Jakarta, Banten and West Java, Prof. Dr. Arif Sumantri, SKM, M. Kes said that the AIPTKMI meeting this time was a form of consolidation and presented policy developments from the Central AIPTKMI.
"This meeting is to consolidate and convey developments from the Central AIPTKMI to the regions on how to improve institutions, improve quality both in terms of graduate competency and curriculum or products and how to equate processes in the delivery of education." he said.
He continued, this time the AIPTKMI meeting will also have elections for new DKI Jakarta, Banten and West Java Regional AIPTKMI management. "We have been managing AIPTKMI for four years, today at UPNVJ there will be a regional AIPTKMI management relay with a total of 28 members from DKI Jakarta, Banten and West Java," he explained.
Arga Buntara, SKM, MPH, the Head of the UPNVJ Public Health Study Program, SKM, MPH, in his remarks said that the UPNVJ FIKES consistently participated in the association's activities, moreover the UPNVJ FIKES had become a permanent member of AIPTKMI.
He continued, apart from rejuvenating AIPTKMI management, it was also an event for increasing the capacity of institutional members in implementing quality education and disseminating the latest information regarding the condition of public health education in Indonesia.
Apart from that, the event also signed a memorandum of understanding between the Association of Indonesian Public Health Higher Education Institutions (AIPTKMI) and the UPN Veteran Jakarta Faculty of Public Health Sciences which was signed directly by the UPNVJ FIKES Dean Dr. drg. Wahyu Sulistiadi, MARS and Chairman of AIPTKMI, dr. Agustin Kusumayanti, M.Sc, Ph.D.
