Prepare Face-to-Face Lectures, Dr. Anter Venus: We Tried the Blended Learning Method

HumasUPNVJ - Reporting from the news.detik.com page recently the Director General (Dirjen) of Higher Education (Dikti) of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), Prof. Nizam said that since 2021 university leaders can allow face-to-face lectures according to the health protocol. This is according to the Joint Decree (SKB) of the Minister of Education and Culture, Minister of Religion, Minister of Health, and Minister of Home Affairs.

In an effort to realize this policy, UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Anter Venus is testing equipment that can later be used in the blended learning method.

Blended learning is a learning method that combines face-to-face and online learning, which is more flexible. With this method, students can study optimally without disturbing their work time.

"We will hold face-to-face lectures with strict health protocols meaning that all those related to face-to-face lectures must follow existing procedures, such as room arrangements, as well as a limit on the number of room participants which is 50%," said Dr. Anter Venus while directly monitoring the first class trials at the UPNVJ Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, on Tuesday (4/4/21).

This experiment was carried out to see whether the ongoing face-to-face meetings could be well integrated so that lectures could be carried out optimally.

Based on joint monitoring with faculty leaders, trials of blended learning equipment can be used quite well when viewed in terms of images and audio which are clear enough, it remains only to adjust the camera in the room.
