HumasUPNVJ - UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) officially holds the status of Public Service Agency Higher Education (PTN BLU), the change in status is based on the Decree of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia number: 209/KMK.05/2021 which was stipulated on May 31, 2021.

In this decision UPNVJ and three other PTNs have been designated as government agencies that apply the Public Service Agency Financial Management Pattern which provides financial management flexibility to agencies that have BLU.

"We have prepared this process since the beginning of 2020 with certainty finding several obstacles that can eventually be overcome but the main obstacles are in the technical and administrative aspects, but the main thing in my opinion is in the administrative aspect where we have to prepare governance, especially the determination of Business Strategic Plan because in it we must be able to see the current conditions, our strengths and predictions for the next 5 years. Of course, everything must be analyzed carefully and supported by data readiness," said the Chancellor in a special interview with the UPNVJ Public Relations team, on Friday (04/06/21).

"We have gone through the process, now it's about how we collaborate to start filling in the BLU, the goal of BLU is to encourage quality services aimed at the student public and the community. The main strategy being carried out is services provided by HR, especially those that are service oriented and most importantly changing the HR paradigm to prioritize public satisfaction and mastery of technology," he added.

He also said that in addition to improved services, the quality of education must also increase where UPNVJ will also increase accreditation according to the target and strive for international quality.

In addition to the financial management flexibility that can be obtained from this change in status, future students will enjoy improved services and improved infrastructure in the quality of learning provided by UPNVJ. In addition, the increase in accreditation that UPNVJ is currently working on will provide benefits and provisions for students as fulfillment of the requirements to enter the industrial world.

With a process that was not easy until finally UPNVJ was assigned the status of BLU, the Chancellor of UPNVJ advised lecturers and education staff that after the change in BLU everyone had to collaborate on how to fill BLU as well as possible.

"One of the targets of our service quality is to increase, so all UPNVJ elements must immediately have a vision to be service oriented. Human resources who do not understand technology immediately learn and lecturers must prepare strategies to increase accreditation. I hope all of this can't just be burdened by just one or two fields because this is all our work and our common target, "he concluded.
