HumasUPNVJ - UPN Photography & Videography Veteran Jakarta, one of the student activity units at the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ), successfully won 1st place in the prestigious Indonesian Student Photography Jamboree (JFMI) held in Padang, West Sumatra on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

UPN Photography & Videography Veteran Jakarta or abbreviated as UFO is a UKM engaged in the fields of art and photography.

UFO is participating in this prestigious annual event as an effort to improve relations between student photography communities from all over the country.

The JFMI event presents a challenging photo competition, an exhibition of inspiring visual works, and an in-depth discussion about the art of photography. JFMI also serves as a forum for preserving culture through the visual beauty captured by the lens, making it a festival full of meaning and creativity.

In his report, UFO UKM Chairman Fikri explained that JFMI participants were student photography organizations from all over Indonesia. While the organizers were selected through a national conference every year, and this year the city of Padang was the host.

This year's JFMI will be held in several locations in the city of Padang, including Padang State University, Andalas University, Adityawarman Museum and Padang Old Town.

"JFMI is important to strengthen networks between photography communities, preserve culture through visual arts, and provide a platform for students to compete and share knowledge," said Fikri.
