HumasUPNVJ - Chancellor of the Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA, CGOP said UPNVJ would seek maximum facilities for students to become excellent and competitive graduates.

"Opportunities are wide open, but it will return to the wishes of the younger siblings themselves," said Erna in her remarks at the 2021 UPNVJ Introduction to New Student Campus Life (PKKMB) event which was held online on Wednesday (11/8/2021).

Erna then quoted one of the popular statements from the Indian struggle movement figure, namely Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi said "Maybe you don't know for sure the results of your actions, but if you don't act there will never be results."

Erna also mentions another quote in Arabic, namely "man jadda wa jadda" which means "whoever is serious, he will succeed".

Therefore, PKKMB 2021 is being held so that new students get to know and can adapt to the new educational environment in higher education.

"The aim of PKKMB is to prepare new students to go through the transition process to become mature and independent students," he said.

The first day of PKKMB 2021 activities was filled with several materials that would provide provisions for new students to take lectures at UPNVJ, including the Merdeka Learn Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum, academic material, and learning in the pandemic era; facilities and infrastructure owned by UPNVJ; effective and optimal utilization of the brain; student affairs and scholarships; entrepreneurship and leadership; and sharing from Youtuber UPNVJ students.
