HumasUPNVJ - Chancellor of the Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA, CGOP welcomed new students participating in the 2021 Introduction to New Student Campus Life (PKKMB) activities which were held online.

"Welcome and congratulations on your achievement of passing the selection of new students for the 2021-2022 academic year at UPNVJ, State Defense Campus," said Erna in her remarks delivered in Jakarta, Wednesday (11/8/2021).

Erna said the success of new students being accepted at UPNVJ showed that they were strictly selected to study at UPNVJ.

According to Erna, the interest in enrolling new students at UPNVJ in the 2021 new student admissions reached 75,481 registrants, while the target for admission was only 3,160 new students.

"The stringency of selection at the university level reached 4.22 percent. When it was tight. Welcome the winners," he said.

However, Erna reminded that the success of being accepted at UPNVJ was only the beginning of the new students' journey to achieve their dreams and aspirations. There needs to be perseverance, sacrifice, and an unyielding spirit so that new students can achieve their coveted goals.

"Today is the first day for younger siblings to achieve student status. Even though they have to undergo lectures at home, they have officially become UPNVJ students," he said.

Erna said the 2021 PKKMB was held to help new students in the process of changing status from student to student.

The aim of PKKMB is to prepare new students to go through the transition process to become mature and independent students, accelerate the adaptation process to a new environment, and provide provisions for success in pursuing higher education. (*)
