Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia, Provide the Value of State Defense to UPN Veterans Dikwal Participants

HumasUPNVJ - After a full week of UPN Veterans Initial State Defense Education (Dikwal) batch three, 133 Dikwal participants were given a briefing on State Defense values directly by the Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, Air Marshal TNI Donny Ermawan ., T MDS at the Indonesian Air Force Academy Air Force (AAU) city of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

"Broadly speaking, Defending the Country is the determination, attitude and behavior, as well as the actions of citizens, both individually and collectively in safeguarding state sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of the nation and state, which is imbued with love for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution in ensure the survival of the nation and state from threats," said Donny in his statement while giving debriefing to Dikwal participants, Friday (24/12/21).

As a campus with the identity of Defending the Country, Donny said there were several characteristics, namely love for the motherland, awareness of nation and state, loyalty to Pancasila as the state ideology, and willingness to sacrifice for the nation and state, and having the initial ability to defend the country.

So that it can be concluded that Defending the Country is an embodiment of love for the homeland to protect the interests of the nation and its country, with the course of history and everyday life it has become a common and natural thing wherever and whenever people love their homeland.

This Dikwal activity is a special opportunity given to the three UPN Veterans educators and education staff to be able to understand directly about Defending the Country as an effort to develop attitudes and character in the nation and state.

On another occasion, the Chancellor of UPN Veterans Jakarta (UPNVJ) Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak., CPMA., CA., CGOP said that this activity would be routinely carried out by UPNVJ employees every year "after our country did not carry out Dikwal at all, this year several batches will be carried out, but if all are evenly distributed, Dikwa will routinely do it once a year," said Erna when met by the public relations team.
