HumasUPNVJ - In order to increase the academic positions of Head Lectors and Professors in the campus environment, UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) held a Socialization for the Acceleration of Proposed Academic Positions with Prof. Dr. Muafi, SE, M.Si who is a professor and permanent lecturer at the Indonesian Islamic University (UII).

Socialization activities were carried out online and offline which were attended by the UPNVJ Chancellor, deans and representatives of the lecturers directly at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, on Thursday (10/03/22).

"This activity will later provide us with supplies in the context of accelerating the academic positions of Head Lectors and Professors at UPNVJ, thanks to Prof. Dr. Muafi who has enthusiastically helped us in this matter. Hopefully this can be very useful for all of us, "hopefully the Chancellor of UPNVJ Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA, CGOP in her speech.

Erna also feels that UPNVJ is still lacking in lecturers who have the academic positions of Head Lector and Professor so that a lot of support and participation from all parties is needed to speed up the process of the available candidates.

"There are very few professors currently available, considering the age of UPN, which has been tens of years, so I think they are quite behind. The process for lecturers to become head lecturers will definitely have administration that must be supported and prepared, later a community service and research team will also be formed. With this team, we hope to be able to provide assistance to lecturer candidates who will process to become head lecturers, "explained Erna.

In his explanation Prof. Dr. Muafi provided several strategies that could later become steps of the process for the position of head lecturer and professor.

The initial strategy that Prof. Dr. Muafi conveyed that by setting targets for the achievement of head professors and professors, focus and commitment to achieving targets, besides that he also asked candidates to focus on special requirements such as journals that try to produce more than one output, and don't forget the impact factor from Scopus which is can be targeted by considering the length of service.

The socialization is two-way in nature where the participants can conduct question and answer directly with the resource person so that there are no differences in perception of the things explained by the resource person to the participants.
