HumasUPNVJ - Chancellor of the Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak., CPMA, CA, CGOP said the new building for the Faculty of Medicine, Medical Education and Research Center (UPNVJ MERce) at the Limo Campus should be a means of collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences.
"The location of the building is close, so in the future the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences can collaborate with each other regarding research and community service," said the Chancellor at the inauguration of the UPNVJ MERce at the UPNVJ Limo Campus, Depok, Monday (28/3/2022).
The Chancellor said that UPNVJ MERce would be the starting point for collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences in making new breakthroughs by prioritizing disease prevention.
According to the Chancellor, people have to pay a lot of money when they are sick, so disease prevention is an important thing that can be a breakthrough in collaboration between the two faculties.
"In the future, we will prevent people from getting sick through the programs that have been planned. We must continue to try to explore the existing potential of both the faculty and the university as a whole," he said.
Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, Asean Eng. said that many public universities have limited human resources.
"With limited human resources, we need to encourage efficiency. UPNVJ MERce can encourage collaboration to provide professional services," he said.
Director General of Diktiristek Kemendikbudristek Prof. Nizam inaugurated the new UPNVJ MERce Faculty of Medicine building located at the UPNVJ Limo Campus, adjacent to the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The construction of the eight-storey building with an area of 5,294 square meters on an 800 square meter land uses investment funds from State Sharia Securities (SBSN) worth IDR 68,213,074,000.
