Director General of Diktiristek Inaugurates New Faculty of Medicine Building

HumasUPNVJ - Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, Asean Eng. inaugurated the new building of the Faculty of Medicine Medical Education and Research Center (UPNVJ MERce) at the UPNVJ Limo Campus, Depok, Monday (28/3/2022).

"This building is our commitment to maintain the trust given by the Ministry of Education and Culture to UPNVJ. Hopefully it will become a new trust and follow-up in the following year," said UPNVJ Chancellor Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak., CPMA, CA, CGOP at the inauguration of UPNVJ MERce.

The Chancellor said the construction of UPNVJ MERce along with the facilities in it was a big gift for UPNVJ which was financed using State Sharia Securities (SBSN).

Built on 800 square meters of land, the eight-storey building with an area of 5,294 square meters will become an education and research center for students of the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Health Sciences with various facilities.

"Several facilities in this building include lecturer rooms, administrative rooms, lecture rooms, libraries, mini hospitals, auditoriums, and several laboratories, one of which is a hyperbaric laboratory," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Higher Education, Prof. Nizam said UPNVJ had shown productivity performance so that Kemendikbudristek had the confidence to support it further.

"We must ensure competent, productive and creative graduates to develop Indonesia. UPNVJ has a strong vision in Defending the Country which is the hallmark of its graduates," he said.

Prof. Nizam hopes that UPNVJ can provide professional services to the community which is one of the important things for state universities.

"Congratulations to the Chancellor and staff who have succeeded in building the trust. Hopefully this can bring progress in education and improve the quality of UPNVJ graduates," he hoped.

Submission of the SBSN proposal for the construction of the UPNVJ MERce started in 2017 and received approval from the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2019. UPNVJ received funding from SBSN investment in 2020 with a value of IDR 68,213,074,000.
