"Overseeing the Upholding of the Law in the Resilience of the Nation" as the Theme for the 22nd Anniversary of the UPNVJ Faculty of Law

The Faculty of Law (FH) of the Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) held the highlight of the 22nd Anniversary which took place at the building of UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine, on Thursday (12/05/22).

This activity is the form of commitment of the UPNVJ Faculty of Law to oversee the upholding of law in the nation's resilience, which is also the theme raised in this highlight of the Anniversary.

It was officially opened by the Rector of UPNVJ, Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak. CPMA, CA, who expressed her deepest gratitude to the Faculty of Law, the Dean and all staff and all stakeholders within for the achievements made for the advancement of the Jakarta Veterans National Development University.

Chairman of the Committee Dr. Heru Sugiyono, SH, MH in his report said that the highlight activity of the 22nd Anniversary of UPNVJ Faculty of Law should have been held on April 24, 2022, but because the time coincided with the holy month of Ramadan 1443 H and other important agendas, the implementation was postponed to May 12, 2022.

“Dies Natalis is a routine activity that is carried out every year, with the aim of commemorating the establishment of the Faculty of Law and providing a forum for students to increase their interests, talents, and competitiveness through various positive competitions. The series of activities for the 22nd Anniversary of the Faculty of Law UPNVJ was carried out for approximately 3 months with various series of activities, both academic and non-academic, involving the entire academic community of UPNVJ Faculty of Law," said Dr. Heru.

Dr. Abdul Halim, M.Ag. The Dean of the Faculty of Law, also conveyed the various achievements made by the Faculty of Law, including the publication of 12 books by lecturers and students of the Faculty of Law, both undergraduate and master programs of law.

Previously, various series of activities had been carried out including a public discussion which was attended by 130 participants from various universities in Indonesia: a debate competition which was attended by 24 teams from 20 universities in Indonesia.

Not only in the form of competitions, UPNVJ Faculty of Law also held National Seminars such as National Conference On Law Studies (NCOLS), and International Seminars such as International Conference On Law Studies (INCOLS) as well as Writing of Profile Books of UPNVJ Faculty of Law and books written by UPNVJ Faculty of Law Lecturers which was launched on May 12, 2022.

Meanwhile, a series of non-academic activities that were attended by UPNVJ lecturers and staff as well as FH UPNVJ students included Relaxing Walks, Sack Races, Crackers Eating Contests, Marbles Spoon Competitions, Nails in Bottles Competitions, Cooking Contests, Legal Counseling Free Legal Consultations, YouTube Content Contests, Competitions TikTok Content, Poetry Writing Contest, English Speech Contest, Legal Stand Up Comedy, Selection of Exemplary Lecturers and Education Personnel.

As gratitude for the achievements that have been achieved by FH UPNVJ, Dr. Abdul Halim, M.Ag as the Dean of the Faculty of Law who was accompanied by the Chancellor of UPNVJ Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak. CPMA, CA., Chair of the UPNVJ Senate and Professor of FH UPVNJ Prof. Dr. Bambang Waluyo, SH., MH., Vice Chancellor II Dr. Prasetyo Hadi, SE, MM, Head of General and Finance Bureau, Head of LPPM UPNVJ, Head of LP3M UPNVJ, Chair of UPNVJ SPI, Lecturers and Staff of UPNVJ Faculty of Law, Representatives of Undergraduate and Masters Students of UPNVJ Faculty of Law.

In addition to cutting the tumpeng, on this special occasion there was also the publication of the Profile Book of the UPNVJ Faculty of Law and 11 books by UPNVJ Faculty of Law Lecturers, the distribution of prizes to the winners of the competition, as well as the Selection of the Most Productive Lecturers which was achieved by Rianda Dirkareshza, SH., MH. while Best Tendik was won by Asep Hidayat, S.Pd.
