UPNVJ PR – Jakarta Veterans National Development University in collaboration with Limo Urban Village, Depok City held a waste management training as a form of community service around the campus.
“The UPNVJ Limo Campus has been established since 1985, and is an inseparable part of the Limo Village. Therefore, UPNVJ feels it is a responsibility to develop together and contribute to solving the problems faced by the Limo Urban Village collaboratively," said UPNVJ Deputy Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Antar Venus MA.Comm. in Limo, Depok City, Wednesday (25/5/2022) .
In the activity which was also attended by the Limo Urban Village Head Abdul Khoir and the service team from UPNVJ, training and skills in processing waste were held so that it could become added value for the people of Limo Urban Village. The waste management skills training carried out included the process of picking up waste from the source, choosing the type of waste, separating plastic waste, cleaning, enumerating, and further processing it into products or processed by partners.
Venus conveyed his commitment that UPNVJ will participate in utilizing the results of waste processing carried out by the Limo Urban Village waste processing team so that the benefits of the training can be sustainable. This is in line with the expectations of Limo Urban Village Head Abdul Khoir.
“We appreciate this program and hope that the people of Limo can really take advantage of the training and skills they have received. We also hope that the benefits of this program can be sustainable,” said Abdul Khoir.
The waste management skills training was attended by the activists of the Limo Urban Village waste mover. They participated in the activity enthusiastically and seemed to focus on completing the waste management process.
