Student Exchange, FEB Successfully Held Summer Course with Walailak University

UPNVJ PR - Recently the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Summer Course at the UPN Veterans Jakarta (UPNVJ) Campus has been completed. FEB held a closing event for the 2022 Summer Course Activities which was attended by officials, lecturers, staff and UPNVJ students and 13 Walailak University students and accompanying lecturers who participated in enlivening the closing ceremony of the Summer Course, on Thursday (2/06/22).

"The Summer Course is one of the first forms of progress at the Faculty of Economics and Business in improving the MBKM program on the student exchange from Walailak University, our students also get a lot of benefits, one of which is new friends, sharing new cultures and others. This will continue for the following years,” said Dr. Anter Venus, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs in his speech.

"This visit is one of the implementations of the Cooperation between Walailak University and FEB UPN Veterans Jakarta, there are many benefits from this activity, one of which is the cultural exchange between Indonesian and Thai cultures. Besides that we, as a big family of FEB lecturers, staff and students, together learn new things which we will continue to improve for the development of our faculty, hopefully from this collaboration there will be student competitions and others,” said Dr. Dianwicaksih Arieftiara Dean of FEB.

"We are very happy with the hospitality of the big family of FEB, lecturers, staff and students here, during our time here we experience and learn new things, hopefully later we will be able to visit here again and we will be waiting for students at FEB UPN Veterans Jakarta to also visit Walailak University,” said Dr. Ying in his speech.

The event continued with the presentation of the Indonesian traditional dance - Saman Dance performed by FEB students, then continued with Walailak University student representatives who performed traditional Thai dances.

Lastly, Walailak University students sang a farewell song and one by one they gave their personal impressions and messages about their time in Indonesia, such as the many new experiences, new friends, new cultures they received here.

"The people here are very friendly to welcome and accompany us, and even though our English is not good, we can still communicate well," said one student from Walailak University.

This was followed by conveying impressions and messages from the accompanying student (LO), "My friends and I feel very proud to be able to accompany our new friends from Walailak University. We will not forget the experience we got while they were here, hopefully we can visit Walailak later University and can meet again with friends from Walailak University," said Agam, one of the accompanying students.

After bestowing them placards, souvenirs and signing the Implementation Agreement (IA) between FEB UPN Veterans Jakarta and Walailak University, the event was closed with a friendly gathering.
