HumasUPNVJ – Three UPN Veterans are collaborating again towards achievements that are packaged in national-scale student competition activities, namely the Widya Mwat Yasa National Sports, Arts and Scientific Week 2022 (abbreviated PORSIMNAS WIMAYA). This activity is intended as a competition arena to increase creativity, innovation, and the spirit of competition based on the values ​​of defending the country.

PORSIMNAS WIMAYA 2022 was officially opened on Monday (11/07/2022) at UPN Veterans East Java with the theme "Innovation and Achievement of the National Defense Generation through PORSIMNAS WIMAYA". State universities participating in PORSIMNAS WIMAYA 2022 are not only known to be three Veterans UPNs but also to be enlivened by Sebelas Maret University, Stikom Bali, and said as well as Setia Budi University Surakarta.

Rector of UPN Veterans East Java, Prof. Dr. Ir. Akhmad Fauzi, M.MT., IPU in his speech said that PORSIMNAS WIMAYA 2022 was the first after the three UPNs became State Universities (previously SIMADA was held about eight years ago). Through this activity, Fauzi hopes that PORSIMNAS WIMAYA 2022 can be the starting point for UPN Veteran's three steps to continue to improve achievements, especially in the fields of sports, arts, and science. Fauzi also advised the participants to uphold the value of support, "We maintain sportsmanship because this is actually a collaboration towards achievement, a family collaboration, in order to improve achievements in the three areas mentioned," he said.

Meanwhile, in the eyes of the Rector of UPN Veterans Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Irhas Effendi, M.Si, PORSIMNAS WIMAYA 2022 is a step to rebuild togetherness and strengthen collaboration and synergy to achieve together. This is considered as a form of implementation of the principles held by the three UPN Veterans, namely Widya Mwat Yasa, which means simply learning to build, “In the past, UPN was one, all synergized to build Indonesia. Then after becoming a private sector and then holding a state university title and being independent, UPN still adheres to the same principle, namely Widya Mwat Yasa with the basic value of defending the country," said Irhas.

Prof. Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA, as the Chancellor of UPN Veterans Jakarta in the midst of her speech encouraging and motivating the “Every game there must be a winner and a loser, that's normal. For those who haven't had the chance to win, we will meet again at the second PORSIMNAS. Show those who haven't been successful next year will come back again," she said.

In this competition, the participants will compete for a total of 103 medals for the three competitions as reported by Prof. Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA, as the Chancellor of UPNVJ in her speech. In more detail, there are 78 medals in sports, 14 in arts, and 11 in scientific. At the end of his speech, Erna also motivated the participants to show their fighting spirit and unyielding spirit, “Every match has winners and losers, that's normal. For those who haven't had the chance to win, we will meet again at the second PORSIMNAS. Show that those who haven't been successful next year will come back again," she said.

PORSIMNAS WIMAYA 2022 will be held from 11 July–23 July 2022 in three different places; UPNVJ for the Arts branch (20-23 July), UPNVJT for sports (11-23 July), and UPNY for the scientific branch (15-17 July).

UPNVJ sent 121 athletes and 21 officers/coaches in sports. Then a choir team, 1 pespawari team, 8 musabaqoh participants, and 1 dance team in the arts branch also participated. Finally, in the scientific branch, there are 1 robot team, 2 debate competition teams, and 13 PKM teams.
