Team 5 PKM for UPNVJ Sector Wins Bronze Medal at PORSIMNAS WIMAYA 2022

HumasUPNVJ - One of the important activities that can build the Indonesian nation is educating and fostering the young generation who will later become the foundation and hope of the nation. Students as part of the younger generation who have an important and strategic role in determining the process of the nation's journey towards independence and efforts to increase superior human resources in Indonesia 2045 to achieve the demographic bonus of the Indonesian nation. One of the effective and efficient efforts to deal with this process is to develop innovative initiatives and creativity among millennial students. With a background like this, the Widya Mwat Yasa National Student Sports, Arts and Scientific Week (PORSIMNAS WIMAYA) 2022 is here as a forum to accommodate the creative ideas of UPN Veterans students throughout Indonesia. The theme of this competition is "Innovation and challenges of the younger generation through PKM as a manifestation of creative ideas in achieving the Indonesian Gold Era 2045 with a willingness to serve the country".

UPN Veterans Jakarta is again proud, why not, the UPNVJ PKM team managed to get a Bronze Medal in the 5 Field PKM category. The 5-field PKM team consisted of students from various generations, including Muhammad Raehan Safitroh, Dwiki Airlambang, Sarah Zalfa Fari Aqiila, Sri Dewi Tawangsih, Muhammad Yanri Chairyatna.

The beginning of Raehan and his team joining this competition started from a sense of wanting to try, "When asked why we wanted to take part in this PKM competition, because at first we tried to register and after being left behind for a few months, it turned out that our group passed to the first selection stage, then after that, 1 Last week we were told that our group had passed to stage two and we were called to make a presentation at UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, so if we were asked why our group wanted to join this competition, it started as an activity just to upload it to the simbelmawa website until finally registering with the reason of trying and trying. finally became the champion,” explained Raehan in his interview with UPNVJ Public Relations.

PKM 5 This field is located in UPNVYK, on ​​July 17, 2022, in stage one there were 27 groups that passed and in stage two there were 10 groups that passed. Raehan explained that the selection stages that he and his team went through were quite long, "This competition stage is quite long because it requires stage one selection, namely in the stage of completing participant and administrative documents, as well as checking PKM proposals that are in accordance with existing guidelines, after stage one proceeds with the second stage selection by re-checking the PKM format that we made, after that we were declared to have passed the second stage and then we were called by the LO from the UPNVYK team so that we could present the results of the PKM that we had made directly. In addition to the long stages we went through, there were many things we needed to prepare as well. What's more, we are from different study programs, which makes it difficult to carry out activities together, but before there was information about this competition, we always held a meeting to determine the concepts, ideas and ideas that existed to prepare the PKM that we made," continued Raehan.

Raehan representing his team also shared that participating in this activity was their first experience, “This is the first thing for us during our lectures at UPNVJ, there are so many lessons and experiences that we take and make lessons for us, a unique experience that we went through especially when Before the D day of the implementation of the competition, we had time to argue and change the concept for the presentation of the results of this PKM," he said.
