HumasUPNVJ - Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs UPN Veterans Jakarta Dr. Antar Venus, MA Comm., gave a speech at the opening of the Technical Education Lecturer for Islamic Religious Education UPN Veterans Jakarta. A total of 16 Lecturers attended the technical guidance which was held in the Mass Classroom Gd. Soetomo Lt.2., Tuesday (19/07/2022).

Dr. Antar Venus said the character of a good citizen is based on religious values. Belief or Core Believe is a belief system that one has about religious beliefs. “Through religion, we want to ensure that students participate in becoming good citizens through religious values ​​which are reflected in their behavior. UPN Veterans Jakarta, views that religion has the power to influence people's behavior, moving people's behavior must be understood correctly, correctly in the perspective of the standing point taken by UPN Veterans Jakarta as the State Defense Campus," said Dr. Antar Venus during his opening speech.

Dr. Antar Venus hopes that all lecturers get a comprehensive understanding of strategies, methods and learning models from resource persons who are competent in their fields, namely the first speaker delivered by Prof. Dr. H. Abuddin Nata, MA a Professor of History and Philosophy of Islamic Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Jakarta, who delivered material on the characteristics of Islamic religious education in public universities which have the characteristics of a state defense campus.

Prof. Dr. H. Abbudin Nata, MA, explained how to see the perspective of defending the state from an Islamic perspective. "Islamic education must go through a multi-approach, so that it can present Islamic religious material in an interesting way and can be followed along with the times. The importance of Islamic Religious Education by instilling faith becomes an encouragement to become mentally spiritual, if this spiritual mentality is practiced it will reflect the Islamic character Rahmatan Lil'alamin," explained Prof. Dr. H. Abbudin Nata, MA.

The second session of technical guidance Lecturer of Islamic Education was delivered by Prof. Dr. H. Armai Arief, M.Ag. a Professor at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Department of Islamic Religious Education and a lecturer at PTIQ Jakarta Faculty of Tafsir with material on Religious Moderation at Public Colleges Religious Moderation at Public Colleges.
