HumasUPNVJ - After presenting the delivery of the vision and mission along with the work programs of the candidates for the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the "Veteran" Jakarta National Development University (UPNVJ) for the 2023/2027 period two days ago, today (07/03) finally the Dean for the new period has been appointed. Taking place in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Law/Yos Sudarso Building Lt.2, the determination was made behind closed doors with deliberation for consensus. Dr. Suherman, SH, LLM., was entrusted with leading the Faculty of Law for the next five years.
Rector, Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, who attended the closed meeting of the FH Senate positively supported the results of the meeting. The election based on deliberation for consensus was carried out because there was only one dean candidate who met the requirements completely.
"The dean who is currently serving continues to serve as Dean, deans who have been approved to enter the transition and accompanying team. In principle the Dean is appointed by the Chancellor, including appointing a Deputy Dean who is appointed by the Chancellor but the proposal is through the Dean. Commitment and cooperation must be implemented, in this case, Mr. Abdul Halim's commitment to continue to help UPNVJ Faculty of Law. Venus said.
The same thing was also done by Dr. Abdul Halim, M.Ag., as the Dean of the Faculty of Law for the 2019-2023 period. Halim also showed his support for Dr. Suherman. It is hoped that the appointment of the Dean will not cause disharmony so that all activities in the Faculty of Law can run smoothly.
“The process has gone through two extensions. Today we have deliberations for consensus entrusting this process to the Chancellor and appointing the Dean Candidates to become Deans. We don't want disharmony. We want the students to run smoothly, the lecturers to run smoothly and so on.” Said Halim in his speech.
Dr. Suherman was elected as the Dean of the Faculty of Law after receiving approval from 10 members of the senate plus the chancellor's vote indicating that there were 11 votes in favor.
